Matt shares how Marovi combines software and services to reduce hiring timelines, improve talent assessment, and help infrastructure companies secure the right leaders in a highly competitive market.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Capacity TV. My name is Amber and I'm a senior reporter with Capacity and today I'm joined by Matt Mooney, co-founder at Marovi. Matt, welcome. >> Thank you very much. Thanks for having me. >> Thanks for joining us. Um, I'll um I'll just dive right in. I'll start nice and easy. Tell us what Morovi is. What what do you guys do as >> Sure. So, Morovi is a software and services business built around executive hiring. I've been in the world of executive hiring, retained executive search for the last four decades and we recognized there was a significant bottleneck in and around executive hiring particularly as it related to the infrastructure world.

So we set out to create a company that really looks to leverage emerging technologies to greatly accelerate that critical front end of the executive search process in these critical high stakes hires. >> Fantastic. And obviously today we're here at in Fort Lauderdale at Metro Connect 2026. Um you've touched on it a little bit briefly there, but next question I've got for you is is um obviously considering the context of the event that we're at. What what problem does Marovi hope to solve for the infrastructure community? >> The infrastructure community is one I've been doing searches in infrastructure for 30 some odd years now and almost unique to this sector.

The stakes of hiring is so critical. These are multi multi-billion dollar bets. I think we've we've all seen examples where the wrong hire has catastrophic results to a company to a reputation to a cap table, whatever it may be. And so we we look at this high stakes hiring, this assessment that we do on the front end and helping to helping uh infrastructure companies make the right hire, make the right hire faster, feel confident with the move that they're making, and just give them in a in a market that's hyper competitive for talent. there aren't enough talented executives to fill these critical roles that we have.

So getting someone who can come in quickly to assess your situation, get a handle on what's critical for this hire is a is a big advantage. And I think ini that's what we look to bring. >> Absolutely. And we're hear I mean I guess we're hearing those conversations quite a lot in the industry at the moment especially as we've moved into 2026. How do you see the infrastructure community using technology and resource like that moving forward? I think, you know, we we've got examples. Typically, a an infrastructure client will hire us for a key executive hire. So, they'll bring us on to bring on a new CEO or a new chief financial offic,

chief marketing officer, whatever it may be. And what happens with we implement, we use our software as part of that overall hiring process. And what we found is yes, we will guide them through this critical executive hire, but then they also end up using our software as part of their broader talent management, talent assessment, executive hiring program going forward as well. So it's that balance of both the services and the software that have really made an impact on some of these key uh key hires within the infrastructure world. >> Sure. And and is there a particular case study that that you've um on on value clients is what's the feedback been?

>> Sure. Absolutely. So the clients do the clients have have have really loved it. We've got one example. uh we did a uh a senior executive hire for for a large infrastructure company and brought in a new executive helped helped them with alignment. So they ended up making a critical hire in 75 days which in the infrastructure world is is a good tempo and a good pace but more importantly it helped them expand their horizons. Our software is good at not only helping you win this war for talent, but it's also helping you to expand into other areas, other adjacencies, and and help them identify talent that they wouldn't have normally stumbled upon uh through kind of a normal search process.

So, I think we've been really helpful there. And I think, you know, in this in this war for talent, there aren't enough qualified executives to lead all of these businesses that we have here this week. So, looking creatively at how do you find the best talent? How do you find the best talent that maybe you wouldn't have stumbled upon through a more traditional process? >> Sure. And um final question from me obviously kind of looking big picture again. >> How do you see Morovi changing executive hiring and infrastructure? >> I think I think you know providing the transparency providing just a level of broader assessment um and helping to accelerate that process.

traditional hiring process left to its own devices is a four, five, six month process. And in this pace that we're running in the infrastructure world, that's not fast enough. The I mean, decisions need to be made, key hires need to be made. You're competing with a number of other companies for these key hires. So, our ability to help you map and assess and judge that market quickly also look at making it less transactional. It's not just about us making a single hire for you, but giving you the software as part of that overall um overall partnership to help you continue to evaluate your internal talent to help you uh evaluate broader market talent as you make additional hires within this team or within broader teams.

So I think changing the economics, changing the sense of urgency, providing that transparency and just creating a more collaborative model that's going to be good for everyone involved. >> Fantastic. And how are you enjoying Metro Connect? Connect is great. It's uh it was a little chilly here this morning and yesterday, but as you can see, Fort Lauderdale delivers. We've got just an amazing event and it's always it's always, you know, great to see the just the community that's here. So many key decision makers.
