We’re excited to share that our co-founder, Vicky Wilkens, was recently featured in Voyage ATL’s “Hidden Gems” series, where she pulls back the curtain on what we saw broken in executive search – and what we’re building to fix it.

The Problem: Expertise That Never Leaves the Room

In the interview, Vicky describes what sparked Marovi’s creation. After years as both a candidate being evaluated by executive recruiters and a hiring leader evaluating others, she moved into a role inside an executive search firm. That’s when she finally saw the full system:

“I saw how much value and influence existed in a recruiter’s expertise, and how little of it was made visible or transferable – to companies or those seeking new opportunities.”

Elite executive recruiters carry decades of judgment, pattern recognition, and evaluation expertise. But that knowledge lives in their heads. It doesn’t scale. It doesn’t transfer. And it leaves talent teams and candidates in the dark about how decisions are actually made.

The Solution: Making Recruiter Judgment Visible and Measurable

What sets Marovi apart isn’t automation for automation’s sake. It’s that we capture how elite recruiters actually evaluate executive talent – their criteria, context, and reasoning – and make it transparent, adaptable, and measurable.

As Vicky explains in the piece, most hiring tools surface candidates through keywords or black box AI. Marovi is different. We turn each role into explicit criteria and assess leaders the way top recruiters do. Then we present those results in real-time assessment reports and scorecards – what traditionally takes weeks of research now happens in minutes.

We don’t automate judgment away. We support it, scale it, and make it visible to everyone involved.

What Recruiters and Talent Teams Are Telling Us

Since launching at HR Tech Conference in fall 2025, one of the most energizing parts has been listening to what the market actually needs.

As Vicky shares: “What you think is the right first solution often turns into something entirely different once you’re deep in client conversations.”

The feedback has been clear: talent teams and search firms need evaluation, not just volume. They need to leverage what they already know – existing CRMs, internal talent pools, known networks – not start from scratch every time. And they need predictable economics that create value rather than extract it.
